Jungle Tales-Mono The Rabbit Seema M Salman
Once upon a time ,there was a very good rabbit
called Mono.Mono was a very hardworking rabbit.
Everyday,he cleared the grass and collected
many carrots. He gave these to all the other rabbits
But,Mono had never gone to the other end of the
forest. So he setout on his journey.Suddenly,he saw
a fourlegged animal moving in the bushes. He saw that
it was moving with whiskers and a strong roar.
Mono asked the animal who he was.To this the animal
replied that"I am Sher Khan(a tiger),the King of
the Jungle".Mono was taken aback but not scared.
He bid Sher Khan goodbye and hopped away.
In the meantime,Sher Khan was very shocked
and impressed with this little brave rabbit. He
decided that he would make him his PrimeMinister.
When Sher khan reached his palace,he called all
the palace animals and told them about Mono.
Hira-the deer, got up and said"Your Highness,I am
the fastest animal in your kingdom,so if you will,
I will go to search for the rabbit".Sher khan agreed
and so off Hira went.
Hira found Mono clearing the grass. He went up
to him and said"Are you the rabbit who met sher khan".
Mono replied-"Yes,I am".Hira-the deer then told
Mono the rabbit about Sher khans proposal.Mono
was delighted.In a gush of happiness,he thanked
hira .Mono could not believe his wonderful fate.
Off he trotted to Sher khan and was met with
praise and happiness from then on.
Mono story teaches us a very important lesson
Honesty and hardwork truly pays in the end.
