Big fat raindrops dripped off my nose. Ew. Well he got what he wanted Im out of the house, but soon ill be back, annoyed, cold and angry, wont I be fabulous to live with then? I glared at the sky, “Hello Mr. Sun! Are you there?” yes I was talking to the sky, but I was desperate. “Hello there, sorry but the clouds are being jerks and covering me up”, said a low voice from behind me. I jumped and spun around.

Ew! Ew! Ew!
I stared glumly out my bedroom window. It’s raining. UGH! What could be worse than that? I hate rain, it wet and … well its bad. I hate being stuck in the house all day; I need sunshine I need space, exactly opposite of what I was getting here.
“Stupid little town.” I muttered to myself. I hated Albany, ever since id been here it had been raining. Every stinking day.
But I can’t go back to Alice Springs, dads got a good job here, it would wreck the family if we left. So I grudgingly put up with rain, rain and more rain.
Mum called up the stairs “ Sunny, darling why don’t you go for a walk? You always loved walks.” Yeh, I like walks, in SUNSHINE! But no one seems to be able to tell the difference. My parents hate seeing me so low like this, but they know its better than starving, Anyway Dad always says “She’s fifteen, she can take a bit of life.”
I can hear him coming up the stairs now. Thump! Thump! Thump! . He sounds mad. What have I done now? The door flies open as he storms in, “That’s it!” he practically screams, while I sit on my bedroom floor with the appropriate shocked expression on my face. “The world is not ending just because you have a lack of sunshine! Your mother and I are sick and tired of you moping around the house! Go outside, it will do you some good!” I could only stare blankly at him. Typical, he doesn’t want my freaky teenage temper to burst out on him so he says ‘your MOTHER an I’. He knows I don’t get pissed off at mum, she doesn’t try force me to do stuff I don’t want to do, so he decides that if he uses mums name in the argument I have no excuse to scream back. It worked.

A boy stood there about my age. He had dark brown hair that stuck to his head, pale skin and stormy grey-blue eyes. And he was wearing no shirt. He had an amused grin on his face.
I raised an eyebrow at him “Have you seen the sun anywhere?” I asked. Yeh I was still crazy enough to act stupid. He snickered, “Your weird.” Hmm okay now I didn’t like him.
Why are the cute guys always jerks?
“Are you not cold?” I asked, I was smart I would direct the conversation away from me. He grinned more “Nah Im used to it, plus the rains wonderful, don’t you think?”
Great a local. “I hate rain actually” I frowned. That wiped the smile off his face; “Oh..” was he response. People tell me Im good at bringing negative into a conversation. I guess they were right.
Damn it! The smile was back in place. “ You really don’t like this place do you?” he asked. “No I absolutely LOVE it!” heavy sarcasm. He chuckled softly. “Your not a very friendly person are you?”“That depends on how you look at it”, I frowned.
“I have a slight, tiny, small suspicion that you don’t like me that much.” He was still grinning. “Is that what you think?” I asked, if he was going to state the obvious I was going to walk off. “What’s your name? I’m Storm.” He said quickly. Storm Interesting… “Sunny.” I replied. It was kind of weird he was Storm, I was Sunny…
