Fixing A Broken Heart. Keivn Luk
Even though he liked her, and she liked him, he rejected her. Priorities first, right, true. Yet which is first, and second? His first was not love, nor passion, his first was future. She was great, really, the best. Him, not so great, which tied a string of envy around my waist, as I watched in the sidelines. I liked her too. And, my priorities were different, however, in my case, the order doesn’t matter. Now, I’ve had lots of loves in my life, tons, but never had I had one quite like this. Normally I would be glad and superbly intent with his rejection. Ironically, however, I was furious. Her sad face killed me. She did not deserve to feel what she had felt. So long, so sad, nothing could have been done. It hurt me as much as her; it hurt me to see what I had only felt for so long. I wish I was in his place, his shoes, his mind, but than would I still be me, would it matter? Making her laugh, chuckle, and even smile to mend her wounds, would bring solace to my heart. He missed out on something so perfect, so special, not even money could forge what she could. But what hurts her can only make her stronger and while I envy him in the shadows of life, I’ll still be mending her heart.
