As we walk in the instant smell of pain hits me, I feel a little
quesy already. Im thinking of running in the other direction but decide against it,
as Im held by the two six feet guardians who lead me into this place like there's nothing
wrong. The back of my hair is sweaty and cold, I can hear all sorts
of noises that make me grab onto my captors extra tight,i release a shuddering sigh of fear,my eyes drop to the floor.
We approach a woman who sit's there looking at me with content like a cat near a coal fire. I can't take this anymore, just get it
over and done with, do what we have came to do. My stomach is churning, my mouth producing more
saliva than usual,my knees jittery, and my pulse racing, I know there is pain to come, i know there
is someone waiting for me. I had heard that this was the worst part of it, waiting!
It's like waiting to go into battle with an enemy you hate, but as time wears on, your hate turns
to fear, and there is no-one who understands, or sympathises with you. I am alone.

The room I await in, is cold and grotty, with grey wallpaper that flows onto a carbon black roof, the ground is chalky
and grim, it looks as if there had been some major restoration done, but they had forgot to finish.

Footsteps echo from outside the door, I can hear him approaching, my heart races faster, I start to reproduce more saliva
on top of the mouthfull I already have, a cold dribble of sweat rolls achingly down my back making me seize with fear for a second.
'it's him, it's him' I think to myself, I look for aide from the two monsters sitting next to me, unaware of my fear, my fate. But nothing is of concern to them.
Just before the footsteps reach the door, they pause to speak to another person, my brain aware of every step that his noisy shoes are making
along the cold marble hallway. I can't see what's coming towards this room, I can only hear muffled voices, I strain to hear of any reprieve
that may get me out of here, I hope that the person he is speaking to has an answer.
But their voices fade, and the footsteps begin to step closer, I expect a madman to walk through these doors, covered in blood and guts, laughing at his
next victim... me!

The squeeky floorboard next to the door squeeks, as the door knob is turned, my eyes notice every motion of the turn, waiting for this hell to be laid upon me.
The lady sitting there looks at me, 'I AM DOOMED', I can feel my nerves going wild, the pain has disguised itself as a get out clause, there is no pain, only fear.
The door clicks open and a man enters, looking at first my guardians, then the one who is to recieve this sentance.

"graeme?" he asks, I look slowly into his eyes showing as little fear as possible, not easy to do when you are really scared.
"Hi" I eventually muster, I look straight back down to the floor, gulping a huge mouthfull of saliva in the process. "are you ready?" he asks again, at this moment
I just want to collapse and never wake up, my heart is going so fast that it has turned into one huge beat that blasts through my rib cage. I look with an expression of
help to the two peole that could save me, the two people that should save me from this pain, I beg them with my eyes not to follow him, but they follow him as he
walks away towards the woman sitting there with a pad of paper.
"No, I don't wanna" I say as a final cry for help, looking for the attention of someone who could save me, "It'll be better this way graeme, trust me?" a random voice said.
I could feel myself being lifted beyond fear to that nirvanic place we go to, It suddenly dawned on me that there was nothing to fear but fear itself, and if I could beat that
then I win.

We walked down the hallway, I was feeling a little better as we approached a room, the door was already open, and inside there was another man standing there with a piece of cloth
over his mouth, he lifted it off as we approached he seemed a charming individual who would never a fly, but under that shiny exterior I bet he was a savage who spilled blood every
time he worked.

"Ok Graeme, From 10 I want you to count backwards, Ok?" he smiled, why do anastesiologists always smile, is it pleasure for them or something.

I looked at my mum and dad sitting watching me
"10....9....8...sev."
