Getting Gas

It always bothered Sarah to wonder if her boyfriend was cheating. After he would leave her house at night, she would curl up in her bed and look at the moon wondering what was going on when he drove away in his bright red car. Kevin was the love of her life. They even planned on marrying. It drove her insane wondering if there was another woman in his life.
One night, Kevin unexpectedly showed up at her door step with a long stemmed red rose. Confused, Sarah took the beautiful flower with delight and provided Kevin with a long, deep kiss. They stood there for a long while, staring at each other. Kevin repeated several times how much he loved her. Unconvinced, Sarah played along as if she was an actress in a great play.
After awhile, Kevin drove away, leaving Sarah on the porch. Immediately, she grabbed her keys off of the table and drove off behind Kevin. Determined to catch him cheating, she accelerated on the gas, trying to catch up. Bright headlights blinded her as she rounded a sharp corner. She lost sight of Kevin. Pressing the gas pedal harder, Sarah began to speed up.
Instantly, she found her car swerving back and forth on the narrow road. Her head spinning, Sarah lost complete control of the car. When she awoke, she found herself in a bright white room. Kevin was leaning over her bed, holding her hand. Kevin kissed her forehead gently and whispered "I love you". After Sarah recuperated, she asked Kevin all the gory details of that frantic night. He informed her that she had been hit by a drunk driver. Confused, Kevin asked where she had been going so late at night. Sarah hung her head in shame. She didn't tell Kevin she had been following him. Instead, she whispered two small words. "Getting Gas".
