Once upon a time, long, long ago lived five very different people. They were all very lonely and unbeknownst to them all, a day in the very near future was coming that would change all of their lives forever.
The first person’s name was Tina Touch. She lived in the most gorgeous of all places. Her nearest neighbor was the beautiful ocean. It’s stunning colors of blue and green crashed into the glittering white diamonds of the beach. The sky was baby blue with large cotton candy clouds lazily strolling along the horizon. The large ball of red and gold sun burned in the background. But poor Tina Touch could not enjoy any of these things for she could not see them. All she had was her touch, and with that she tried as hard as might to envision what they might look like.
Sally Sight lived not very far from Tina Touch. She lived in the beautiful mountains. Their snow-capped tops were made of the most soft satin the world has ever known. The greenest grass in all the land grew at the bottom of these mountains. Grass as soft as cashmere blanketed the whole place. Streams as smooth as velvet flowed effortlessly down the mountain. But poor Sally Sight would never feel the green grass or the gushing stream because all she had was her sight. She could only see these things, never feel them.
Heather Hear lived downstream of Sally Sight. She lived just outside the musical village of Harp Hideaway. This village held the best musicians in the world. Curiously, they only played and sang songs of candy from a land not far from there. Concertos of chocolate, symphonies of sugar rang throughout the land. Heather Hear strained to hear all the musicians had to tell, but she was only to hear of these scrumptious sweets, never to taste them.
Sarah Smell lived a little further away. She lived in a field full of flowers. The reddest of roses, the most magnificent morning glories, the dazzling daises all were within her reach. Sarah Smell loved to inhale all of the nature’s sweet perfumes, but alas, she could never touch them or pick them to decorate her home.
And lastly, there was Tammy Taste. Poor Tammy Taste actually lived in that Candyland Heather Hear longed for. She dined on fudge that smelled like heaven. The smells that wafted from her village were enough to make a person’s knees weak. Tammy Taste could never smell what she was eating. For all she knew she was about to eat brussell sprouts milkshakes and spinach pie.
What happened next was quite unexpected. A massive earthquake shook and rocked the country. Villages were uprooted, people were flying though the air. It was as if God had put the earth in a giant Yahtzee tumbler and rolled his turn.. Once the earthquake was over, people began to inspect the damage. What they found was truly amazing! Heather Hear, Tammy Taste, Sarah Smell, Sally Sight, and Tina Touch had been tossed into the wind and carried to the ocean. They soon started to talk to each other and found out that they were long lost sisters. They realized that as long as they stayed together they could experience life at its fullest. No longer were they without. They began their day at the ocean and ended it with a delicious dinner at Candyland. And as far as the rest of the world knows they lived happily ever after.
