The After Effects Of Love Jeffrey Lee Williams
Does she want you?
No, not at all. At least I don’t think so.
Then why do you want her so badly?
Because I’m in love with her!
Well how do you know that?
How do I know what?
That you’re in love. What makes you think that you’re in love?
I just feel it. I have a feeling, that sensation within my bones. I can’t explain it and I don’t want to explain it. It’s just how I feel and I like it.
Would you consider backing off? Giving her a chance to know you first?
Why would I do that?
Because she needs you to give her space, distance, air!
But you admit that she needs me.
Not in that way that you want her to. She needs her space. She needs….
She needs the love of a good man. The love of a man who will love her the way she has never been loved before. She needs a little me.
But that’s not what she’s getting. She’s getting a lot of you and it is making her nervous.
That’s because she doesn’t know me.
And that’s because she doesn’t want to.
But she only feels that way now.
And that may never change.
Why would you say that? What do you know about love and romance? What do you know about women and what they need, want or desire? You’ve never even been married! What gives you the right to tell me to stop loving her?
Because if you don’t you’ll never get out of this situation and as your attorney, I want the best for my client.
That’s fine. Let’s get me out of this jail for Christ’s sake!
I am working on that. Will you leave her alone?
I’ll think about it.
On second thought, as your attorney I want the best of you as my client. However as my son, I feel this is where you belong. I’ll tell your mother you said hello.
Dad! Wait! Please!
I’ll see you in about three to five years, son.
That’s cruel dad!
No, that’ tough love, son.
