ES: SHOW THE HIGHWAY MAN LOOKING AT A PICTURE OF JESSICA, THE WOMEN HE CAN NEVER, WHILE THE NARRATOR SPEAKS, THE SCREEN WILL BE ALL BLACK.
(Female) NARRATOR:
(VO)
�HIGHWAY MAN is the bad guy that everyone wants to be, but he is in love with a girl named JESSICA. When he is steeling he is thinking how life would be with JESSICA. She is the chief officer�s dad. The dad is bound to get him.

ES: HIGHWAY MAN RIDING A BIKE TO JESSICA�S HOUSE, HIGHWAY MAN WALKS UP TO JESSICA�S WINDOW TO TALK TO HER SECRETLY, OUTSIDE.
JESSICA:

"Why are you here? My dad is downstairs."
HIGHWAY MAN:
(POV)
"The cops are on my trail I need to leave town. Will you come?"
ROBERT THE GARDENER IS LISTENING TO THEIR CONVERSATION CAREFULLY. SEE HIM IN THE BACK GROUND RAKING LEAVES.
JESSICA:
(POV)
"I can�t leave town. My dad could get the police on me in no time!"
HIGHWAY MAN:
(OV)
"I�m leaving in two days at 12:00 a.m."
JESSICA:
(HS)
"When my dad found out that you were stealing he made rules stricter around here!"
ROBERT:
(FS) (He whispered to himself)
"I�ll get you HIGHWAY MAN. Then I will be able to live with JESSICA without you interfering."
JESSICA watches the HIGHWAY MAN crawl out the window and ride his bicycle away.

ES: THE NEXT DAY THE HIGHWAY MAN GOES TO JESSICA�S HOUSE, HE NEEDS TO SEE HER.
JESSICA:
(POV)
�Hey! Who�s in the bushes?�
HIGHWAY MAN:
(POV)
�Who do you think it is?�
JESSICA:
(POV)
�Oh my gosh! I thought you would never show up!�
HIGHWAY MAN:
(OV)
�I only have a little time to see you, but I couldn�t stand being away from you.�
JESSICA:
(OV)
�Are we still leaving at twelve tomorrow?�
HIGHWAY MAN:
(OV)
�Yes. I hear someone pulling into the driveway. I have to go. I will see you soon.�
ES: ROBERT WALKS AWAY KICKING AT THE DIRT ANGRY AT THE HIGHWAY MAN.

ROBERT:
(PAN)
"I have some news about the HIGHWAY MAN including your daughter. He will be at your daughter�s window 12:a.m. tomorrow."
Police:
(POV)
"Thank you for your cooperation and your information. We will be right on it."

ES: HE READS A LETTER SAYING
NARRATOR:

Dear HIGHWAY MAN,
I want you to know that the cops are at my house. My dad some how found out about our little conversation last night. I will warn you with the sound of a gunshot if the police are near.

ONE TEAR DROPS DOWN AND SPLASHES ON THE LETTER.

ES: JESSICA TRYING TO GET FREE FROM THE KNOTS SHE WAS TIRD UP IN TO WARN THE HIGHWAY MAN NOT TO COME TO THE HOUSE
JESSICA IS TRYING TO GET FREE FROM THE KNOTS AS ONE SALTY TEAR HITS THE GROUND.
NARRATOR:
(VO)
�Little did the HIGHWAY MAN know, while he was riding his bike to pick up JESSICA, she was trying to get her hands out of the knot tightly twisted with rope. The POLICE, standing near by, kept her in her room so she couldn�t run away. She had to find a way to warn him. The only way she could escape was to pull at the knot but that would trigger the shotgun held to her face. Waiting for the distinct sound his bike makes, she readies herself to pull the knot.�

Then show the inside of JESSICA�S room with Jessica readying to shoot herself.

ES: HIGHWAY MAN STOPPING ON HIS BIKE.

�By the sound of a gunshot, the HIGHWAY MAN stops on the side of the road remembering JESSICA�S warning. Turning around he heads to the nearest pub.�

ES: AT THE PUB, SITTING AT A BOOTH, THE HIGHWAY MAN WAITS.
BARTENDER:
(POV)
�Did u hear what happened at the chief�s house last night?�
DRINKER:
(OV)
�No. What happened?�
BARTENDER:
(POV)
�The chief�s daughter shot herself trying to warn the HIGHWAY MAN. It seems that they were secretly in love.�
