ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
Erin is a person obsessed with writing. She has finally come to enjoy the passion that has been with her since she wrote her first poem at the age of four. Recently she began to write fiction. These are my first tries at short stories and fiction, I used to write poetry but for some reason I don't feel very poetic anymore, but I decided to put some of my past poetic works here also. [December 1999]

My Unavoidable Hell Erin D. Traynum
woe to those who believe in themselves-
who feel their Spirit-
who look deep inside for Righteousness.
ahead of them lies vengeance
at the hand of an Almighty force,
a jealousy that disobeys the seven sins
by living in His envy.
i am a victim of this misery and
will live in grief because
of the happiness that i attain.
the love that flows throughout my veins
will punish me with Joy's excruciating pain.
and i will sit and live-
enjoy the sun-
wait for death to end my suffering.
woe is me-
I will say smiling
and I kiss the face of Love.

"Read this over and over but I can't find any depth, only words. Your bio says you want only to live life free of conforming. Most of the people I've known who never wanted to conform to anything, lived boring lives, were unimaginative, rarely happy, and are broke, alone,or dead - or all three. Be careful what you wish for. " -- DK, Ohio.
"I've read other reviews by you and you seem to be the unhappy person that you are trying to portray me as. Maybe it's because you don't believe that you can be yourself in this world and because you are a puppet to society's ways. You need to re-evaluate the way you look at other people. From all of your reviews you seem to be very miserly, but if I'm wrong about you I apologize. And by the way, I'm young and full of life and only write because I like words. I am also very happy with my life and get along with just about everyone, so I do not fit within the bounds of your stereotypical non-conformist. If you need other postive examples why don't you do some reading about the Transcendentalist Movement." -- E.D. Traynum, Atlanta, GA.
"If you are such a happy person, why do you constantly write about your struggle against those who would have your conform to something you are opposed to? I find The same underlying, boring message in almost everything you've written. I'm not trying to be mean or overly critical. I'm just telling you the truth. Or is that being too much of a conformist for you? You might try writing about someone or something other than yourself. By the way, Jesus also threw merchants out of the temple for gambling. They were also non-conformists of their own time." -- D Koss.
