I sit here looking in the mirror image on the wall
and wondering what I see.
I see a wall that was once built firmly
that is slowly beginning to crumble
In one of the cracks, there is a rose growing
It's small and lonely
with dew drops on it's petals.
At the top of the wall,
there is a barbed wire fence
insuring that no one gets to the other side
Just as I turn to move away
the crack grows larger
almost big enough to see through
There is a light radiating
through the cracks
that is almost painful to look at
Apon taking a closer look
I can see the sun beginning to rise
with all it's brilliant colors.
