Will there ever be another to fill the emptiness I feel inside?
This pain in my heart, oh I'd rather be dead.
I'm so lost without you by my side.
You used to comfort me when I needed you most.
You were a friend and I trusted you to help me through my hardships.
You said you would always be there, but I see now that that was a lie.
You said I could always cry on your shoulder, but where have you gone?
I'm sorry if I did something to hurt you.
I'm sorry dear friend, and now I lost you.
Where are you? Where have you gone?
I miss you dear friend. Where have you gone?
I need you dear friend. Who have you come to be?
You have chaged, dear friend. Where has your innocence gone?
Dear friend, do you know that I still care?
I know we were so close, but sometime over the years we had to change.
I still have the memories of shared secrets past,
Some moments over which I laugh, and some make me cry.
Dear friend, I'm scared. What do I do?
They say you are gone forever.
Dare I believe this true?
Never!!

"I really like this poem, and can tell it was written from the heart. I like the repetition of the line "Where have you gone?" because it really brings to life the narrators desperate wish to rekindle the friendship, the theme of this poem. I am new to storymania, and look forward to reading more of your writing!" -- Allison Nastoff.
