To Call My Own Redzin
TO CALL MY OWN
(Original)
See now @ 35 I recite poetic rhymes
Using words like weapons upon my adversaries
Crushing skulls, cutting off blood flow to the capillaries,
Making moves on my enemies like a dog in heat
It’s what kept this hard head roughneck
In me hustling to make ends meet,
And so I started dealing @ the young age of 13
Knowing that for me money over females
Was the only way to a means in the scheme of things,
Growing up on these fucked up streets
Only trying to see my dreams through a mist of defeat,
One day completed with all this hate
And race shit one day deleted,
But it’s a struggle growing up young & all alone
Without a Father figure there @ home to call my own
And so I grew up as just one amongst a dyeing breed
@ Seventeen with a Son another mouth to feed,
Still a teen and Son myself but now with my own family
Sending prayers to the Lord asking that he let’s me be
A better Father than the bastard he offered me,
And so with one Love and a million dreams of success
Of all the things in this world that I’d strive to be I confess
Growing up poor and Fatherless ended up being nothing for me
And every day having some asshole counselor harassing me
Asking me, what the hell is it that you want to be
Once you’re full-grown? Simple for me it’s to be
Nothing but a good Daddy & Father to the kids that I own!
