ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
I come from South Africa and I am 19 years old. I have been writing stories and the like since I learned to read and write and I have been composing them for even longer. My writing takes on various genres although I like to believe that my particular style incorporates all that is considered unusual. [November 2000]
Dreams Melloson Allen
I wanted to walk down those dampened grey streets,
eyeing out the many shades of black and white,
But I found myself stumbling on these heavy feet,
lost in the darkness and blind in the light.
I wanted to play on those golden guitars,
watching my dreams all coming true,
But I found myself spitting out angry poems,
searching for a cure and finding only you.
I wanted to live in shady green forests of bliss,
under vast purple sunsets and navy blue skies,
But I found myself trapped in this dark lonely place,
under the iron fists of society's lies.
I wanted to fly across an ocean of freedom,
alone in my peace and free from all men,
But I found myself drowning in a black sea of pain,
with nothing to save me but this whispering pen.
