Over My Dead Body
Colin Baker

Over my dead body ;
ripples of white silk,
rich, like a long day's snowfall.

Over the ripples of white silk ;
a greedy slice of glazed cherry,
fixed, like Prometheus to the rock.

Over the greedy slice of glazed cherry ;
a jackpot of pebbled-earth,
heaped, like slaughtered cattle.

And upon the jackpot of pebbled-earth ;
a dead letter.
