Eternal
Briony Carvalho

Scattered memories of broken hopes
Wisps of dreams of yesterday’s forevers
Tracing silvery lines of possibilities in the mind
The soulful echo of the sweet pain of love

Forever wanting the eternal
Love and passion, Friendship and trust
Ephemeral and distant, it’s taste haunted my tongue.

Dreaming of tomorrows I crossed the void into the now
Streams of the past running beneath my broken feet

Holding my hand you traced the lines
Souls locking through our childlike eyes
Past present and forever, merging into one
I became you, you became me, eternal
