ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
I think that my love of writing came from my love of reading. I read fantasy, adventure and drama novels, horror as well. My favorite authors are: J.K.Rowling, R.L.Stine, Meg Cabot, James Patterson, Cornelia Funke, Carolyn Keene and C.S.Lewis. Actually, as long as I like a book I like the author as well. I dream of writing a novel some day, or if not, publish a book with a collection of my short stories. I'm not much of a poetry writer, my sister usually helps for that category. I'm 15 years old, will be sixteen on November 13th 2007. I was born in Trinidad, which is just of the coast of Venezuela, and still live here. I'm not quite sure what career I would like to go into. Nothing really interests me to a great extent. I am in the science class, but I'm no brain. This is as much as I'm going to put. All I want is that you leave reviews when you read my stuff. Also please feel free to email me any time. Thanks! [July 2007]
Lurking in every corner
Hiding in every shadow.
It watched as he raced past by
It followed him through the meadow.
Like a thief in the dark
It prowled around.
He stopped and listened
But heard no sound.
He knew what it wanted
For he had escaped it before.
And though afraid, he was determined
To evade it once more.
With the ‘CRACK’ of the thunder, he spun like a top
No sooner did he realize he had elbowed the cup.
‘CRASH!’ ‘BOOM!’ and a big explosion
Flying glass and blazing fire compounded his confusion.
He tripped on his feet as he turned to run
And sent some things crashing to the ground.
He lay in silence and pondered about his life
And ignored the pain in his chest that was caused by the knife.
Death is a stealthy stalker
Who none can escape forever.
He is never out of sight
At any moment he can put out your light.

"Interesting poem. Did wonder about making the last verse the first. Also shorter with a punch.Perhaps along the lines: Death the steady stalker, Can put out your light, Always at your elbow, Striking terror at night. IMO" -- Cleveland W. Gibson, Faringdon, Oxon, UK.
"I like this because it's true and it sounds like its from the heart. I love your way of words and how you use them to describe what you're talking about. This was a great poem!" -- C. Spencer.
