Your face
I traced
from the shadows
we cast
from a finger to a tongue
we lived, we loved
to be so young
Never giving a moments
thought to circumstance
or outcome
With no regret
or pause
we succumbed
A chance, so brief
now reflective
looking back
we took moments
we took risks
took each other
when the time came
To be young
was a fault
neither of our hearts
for the moment cared about
staring at the stars
we felt invincible
right there and then.
