A Quiet Journey Jayme Lynne Gloria
Night moves so slowly and
the hands of time take control of everything
as I fall to pieces.... each second
drifts to the river of eternity
Life would be sweeter and meaningful
if only, just for a brief moment
I can catch a glimpse of you
for I have this need to touch your face
once again.
To see the splendor of the moonlight
to hear the song of a midnight dove
lulling you to sleep
the murmuring leaves of ancient trees
harmonizing with each silent sigh of your heart
my solemn wish of glancing deeply
through the window of your soul.
Time's unfriendly when sadness dwells
in an empty room
a sudden rush... spinning web of tears
I listen to the fading sound of the clock
reflection of million stars I visualize
dancing upon your eyes
a quiet journey of my thoughts
oh, how I long to be so ever near you....
even in a dream.

~ i love you immensely, still. ~
