Mum You Are Always Right Green Emerald
I wish I listened to all that you said
Telling me how my life will come to an end
If I grow up too fast
I will cry, remembering my past
You kept telling me to enjoy my childhood
And I promised myself that I would
But why did I want to grow so quick
Not enjoying life like icecream, lick by lick
Oh dear mother you were so right
Why didn't I see my future in sight
Now I am a young mother
Even though me and my man are together
I still regret enjoying life
Now all I can be is a devoted wife
I still had time to study
I wish I had waited until I was ready
Now I have a beautiful home
And we're saving up to goto Rome
Everyone tells me how far I have come
I have a house, a car and a beautiful son
If I have everything then why do I still yearn
For your love, which I still have to earn
So simple was the life I once led
When I had no worries on my head
Reminising the school play
The english lessons and sports day
Now all I am is a housewife
My husband and son are now my life
Reminising the simple days
Brings tears to my eyes
If only I had chosen the simple ways
And not said my goodbyes
But you still stood by me
Even though I chose my own way
You only wish for me to live happily
And to visit you every day
No one will accept me the way you do Ma
Promise to always stay with me
As you are my shining star
Don't you dare leave me
What would I have done without you?
I dread to wonder
For now I always ponder
Over our sweet memories...

"Loved the sentiments. our mums love us no matter what we do and sometimes I do take my mum for granted. I forget she wont be with me forever " -- kate kerrison.
"That is the day I dread, when I will have to live without my mum! I don't know how others survive. My mum is always there for me, like my guardian angel she always leads me in the right direction and I know I'd be lost without her. Thank you so much for reading and sharing. God Bless" -- Green Emerald.
