Even Though It Hurts Me So Much More...

I was stupid for thinking this would work,

but how was I supposed to know

how much this would hurt,

loving you was a chance I decided to take,

I guess I didn't realize how many times

you'd make my heart break,

for some reason I'm still holding on,

convincing myself to stay strong,

deep inside I know you'll never change,

but I know that if I left you it'd cause

you so much pain,

even though it'll hurt me much more to stay,

I don't know why I won't get away.

"I thought this was well written and I'm big against forced rhyming and you seem to have a good grip on staying away from that. I wasn't thrilled with the last line though...maybe you can change it to something more powerful. Nicely done Rachel!" -- km.
"That is EXACTLY what I'm going through right now...my ex treats my like crap sometimes, but he can be the sweetest person in the world. And we are done now, but I still can't seen to stop loving him. My memories of him are still so fresh in my minm and they're too beautiful to erase." -- Angel of Hope.
