DESCRIPTION
Sometimes, giving up and hoping for the worst is easier than facing what you are afraid of. There comes a point when one truly doesn't give a damn because he's been beaten by his pain, and dying seems like the only solution to someone so depressed. [171 words]

[82 words] Cosmic Tides (Poetry) A very quiet poem about one person's realization that they are infinitely small compared to the universe. [187 words] Death By Poseidon (Poetry) This is not so much a straight-forward poem as it is a puzzle, or a mind game. It presents two possibilities to what REALLY happened in the bulk of the poem. A Fostered Dream Samantha Carter
I will not judge a robin when its notes are all off-key, I will not take my dreams in stride; they'll have to follow me. I will not sail a stream unless the water all is dry, And if you make me smile, I'll know it's covering a lie.
I've never really loved someone- protection for my sake For trust is thrown to easily, and risks I will not take. An angry girl may live in me, run rampant, loose, and wild, But she is just the echo of a bitter, jaded child.
I have a dream I hope will last, continue through the years, To see me past this bitter hate to my coffin filled with fears. I do not plan on staying any longer than I'll bear; It's not worth all the acting like I really, truly care.
I know that often people hurt, they damage and betray-- I'm aware I bear a cross of hate that ruins every day. But when my other dreams have left and run away to cry, I'll stay alive to keep the dream that someday I will die.
