I wrote this poem when I was 14.
This is a poem about a person beginning his Life Journey. He is gathering everything he needs for his journey so that he wouldn't ride to oblivion.

The Music Of Life (Poetry) A poem i wrote when listening to a beautiful song.I'ts about music saving me from the ugly clutches of melancholy and dismal. [116 words] [Fantasy]
Suneej Surendran Nair
I sought with a desperate heart
That beauteously sheathed cart.
And my purest fleece, which Iíll wear
To my Destiny free of fear.
With me Iíll keep this happy harp, which
Will keep melancholy away.
And sing to beauteous Venus
While Iím on my way.
Here is my great Destiny Book
Which hath Words bent and twisted
To form an ever right Map, which
In my hand, lambently glittered.
I sought all these desperately
ĎCause my journey will soon begin.
And, if life is a grand journey,
Should it be to oblivion I ride?

"I want a happy harp. I've voted this a seven because I think it's absolutely beautiful. My only crit would be that I'd change either the beauteous, or the beauteously they are such rich words that I don't think there's room for both of them in the poem. For some reason this reminded me of the prodical son .. . but not when he came home, when he went away. Lovely, lovely poem. " -- Sooz, Dalton, England, Cumbria.
