Funnel
Fizzgig McArthur

reaching not grasping, emotions always growing
inquiring not asking, exploding, not knowing
Hiding, not masking which ones will be showing
staying not lasting and whom Ill be owing

A funnel for my thoughts, though so many to choose
A pencil, computer, easel, the blues
day dreaming, athletics, but which one to use
as a portal for my feelings, and through it they ooze

Happiness sadness anger dismay
the colors flow , as do the notes that I play
Harmony, dissonance, line, array
rhyme and reason, this is the way

Expression, though everyones is not the same
you need it for all your thoughts to be tame
whether music, or drawing, or playing the game
Venting your feelings will help keep your name

I was going to bash it, as, well...you're an arrogant son of a b**ch (This is a Good One!-Author's Comments), but you had every right to tote your poem in such cockiness. Hehe...check out my own poem *coughshamelessplugcough* The Golden! It is a good one! ;-)" -- Tyrant.

"I like this piece a lot. The first 4 lines reminded me of the boat scene on willy wonka and the chocolate factory when wonka is talking all rhymey and stuff. uh huh...." -- Michelle W., Topeka, KS.
