Love Him So
Outlaw's Serenade

You asked me, why do I love him so
well my friends, here's the answer
it is true, because I'm telling you so
and it will not change for as long as I'm here

I love him because,

when I am weak and in need of assurances
he is there like a pillar of strength
salved in gentleness and innocent sweetness

I love him because,

because he is there wiping my tears
begging me to smile
in his own childlike ways, when my tears
are incontrollable

I love him because

because he'd always make me wake from my nap
get up and move my lazy ass
whenever I feel that the whole world is sitting on my lap

I love him because

because he said that there's nothing we can't handle
no sea too wide, no mountains too high
as long as we are together, we will always be able

and I love him because

he doesn't move mountains for me
nor would he paved the sea
but he will walk with me

to catch me when I fall to my knees
to rub me when I sore and can no longer hide it
to wipe my sweat and blood and tears
and put a goofy band-aid while he's at it

and because he's not like you
Mr. Perfect
and because he has faults I can live with
and because I have faults he can live with
and because he thinks I'm bearable
for a girl

and because of ten thousand and one more reasons

and that,

is why I love him so
