I'll Be Right Back
Diana Angela Chang

I dont want to do you wrong you see
I really dont know whats wrong with me
Trouble seems to draw near to me
And as you can see the things being said to me
So I want my family with some time to be free
Because I cant be me completely
Ive made changes significantly
Playing the role daily
Mistakes made repeatedly
But never deceitfully
I just take a short break away peacefully
It doesnt do healing
But it helps with all that Im feeling
I dont want to be on my own
I just need some time alone
No kids, husband, mother, or phone
Because these actions and verbal abuse I will not condone
Now you see it too, your mind even blown
Ill sit quietly and let that be shown
Since usually her words get to me
And anger is what others see
Not her slander and provoking vanity
So let me walk away
This is the best way
The time spent alone changes my tone
And its the only way known
Its how Ive grown
And learned not to grumble and groan
So think of it as
Me not being a spaz
But as choosing solid to the core
Rather than bad to the bone
So remember that Hunny, Ill be right back home
Because with this and that commotion
I carry a surplus of emotion
Weighs deep as an ocean
Dont want to see that set into motion
So let me go administer my potion
