Love Blanket

Once the love blanket has been lifted
I am able to stand up again, I can see clearly
I can move on
And I can forget you, seriously.
Now in the hands of another
I realize how forced things were for us.
How stressed and pressured I felt
Little regard or trust
And you tried, well at least you said you did
But there was no kindness in your eyes
All these things for me?
No, not really, just a disguise...
You could tell everybody
That you are the best man in the world
But if it isn't so...
Atleast not according to my words.
And you can tell everybody
That you are the best thing that I had
But is it really true?
I'm enjoying myself in someone else's bed
I quickly realized I can be happy
Others do things for me freely
No reminders, no tracks
Just doing it genuinely
Unlike you, only to feed your ego
It was never for me
You were just correcting your old mistakes
To prove your superiority
Or lack of, everything was a front
Your just that kind of man, no doubt
You walked in and out of my life
And wiped your feet on your way out.
