Illusions
Dirty streets, souless eyes if you stare too long, someone dies. Hearts of iron, fists of steel surviving only to maim and steal. Not always for anger, not always for pride sometimes just because it's a place to hide. Hide from their pain, hide from their sorrows hide from the dissappointments and shattered tomorrows. Abandoned in a world they never created everywhere they go, they are feared and hated. Doomed to roam the streets in packs beyond all hope, unable to turn back. Until one night a bullet rings out and wipes away all fear and doubt. No one to miss them, no one to mourn left behind dreams tattered and torn. And us? we won't notice, we won't see the brutality of one more dead child lying in the streets. beau h.2011
