TITLE (EDIT)
Charnworth Books
DESCRIPTION
"Charnworth Books" A contemporary play for two male characters. "Charnworth Books" Is a play about the value we place on history and the danger of discarding past lessons. Eduardo a whily old bookseller is forced to confront the modern world when a development company threaten to put him out of business. Eduardo though is more than he at first seems as Richard the developers agent finds out. "Charnworth Books" Takes skill and hard work on the part of the actors as it takes both naturalistic and abstract form, but is a rewarding play to perform and draws the audience along with the characters. Minimal staging and lighting are required so it is well within the realms of amateur production, but again a degree of skill and some hard work is required by the two actors. "Charnworth Books" is an award winning play that can, if performed well be very special theatrical experience for the actors and audience.

"Nothing wrong here Stephen. I've dabbled in stage acting, people say I have a great singing voice, too bad I can't prove it in this format. Mostly though I wasn't very good at it, and so I then fully concentrated on story writing. Like they say leave the acting to the actors, and the playwriting to the playwrites." -- [email protected].
"It's "playwrights" not "playwrites" EC a.k.a. jerrygeorge51, okay? I'm in college and so I've "experienced" trying to analyze a play, but I've never actually written one. Never have I acted in one either, but I do know what it's like to perform in front of a huge sitting audience. Though trust me they do anything but sit patiently and quietly, and it's much harder to remember your routines than I suppose it would to be upon the stage." -- Tyna Aberdeen.
