Fire In The Ice
Hardened by her husband's death two years earlier, Deedra Marlan -- the “Ice Princess” to her friends -- vows never to feel the pain of loss again. She hides her emotions by operating a prominent restaurant called “The Fireside.” When Josh McKenzie enters her icy world, the handsome cattle rancher decides he must have this standoffish woman. He is unwilling to take “no” from her, and Deedra finds Josh pushing buttons in her that she didn't know existed. Feeling emotions she had never dared to feel, almost to the point of fright with this hard edged, strong, determined man.
Journey through this couple's erotically charged passions, and their heart-wrenching ordeals, as Josh struggles to unleash the Fire in the Ice of this beautiful woman.
A Native of the West Coast Florida area, Ms. Stewart has written in one form or another since the age of 9, mostly poetry, in which she was published for two; "YOU" and "SET YOU FREE", She also won an award (Third Place) for her poem "YOU" as well.
Ms. Stewart then turned her attentions to writing (slightly erotic)Romance Novels in her early Twenties,Two of which are posted on this site, one being published as of this writing, FIRE IN THE ICE . The other one of which is unfinished at this time. Ms. Stewart's Romance Novels depict that of the real man (i.e. Cowboy, biker, construction worker) as the hero, then the last book,(Non-Fiction) NIGHTMARES ECHO..published by Publish America...was penned when she was 40. With her husband's encouragement, he finally talked her into taking them all out of the drawer she had kept them in, wiped off the dust and put them on a site to be read by others.
Before long she was being featured on many of the child abuse/domestic violence sites across the web for her book Nightmares Echo..
She is also a wife, mother and a grandmother...as well as have animals her husband and she raise on thier little mini-farm. She volunteers part time for a Domestic Abuse Thrift Store and is taking classes to become a counselor for the abused.

"I read the excerpts on Ms. Stewart's web site for Nightmares Echo, and also for Fire in the Ice. Nightmares is a powerful book, keeps you on your toes and very well written. She doesn't miss much when it comes to the time line etc... Fire in the Ice is equally impressive, it is a Romance Novel filled with intrigue, and I truly enjoy the way the story reads. I also enjoy the way she writes the love scenes, making your imagination go into over drive rather than graphically writing it all down....very very good work...Mary" -- Mary Seiver, ohio, USA.
