Whatever our differences there are things we should agree on in politics and society. First, is the need to protect freedom and democracy. Second, in a deadly pandemic we come together and do what it takes to protect ourselves and others. The election of Donald Trump twice tells me we don't care about freedom and democracy. People who didn't want to social distance, wear masks, or get vaccinated during the Covid pandemic shows people don't care about their own lives or others. 

It's hard to really discuss or debate politics or issues when these things are true. Why care ?  Does it really matter anymore? People's responses to Trump and Covid really show who they are. And it's awful. 


I'll keep trying I suppose. But I become more disillusioned all the time watching people support Trump, and be against vaccines. I no longer see a clear way forward for our politics or society.
