AUTHOR'S OTHER TITLES (17) A Foreign War (Songs) A song I wrote about a relationship I was in. [92 words] [Relationships] A Lost Conscience (Poetry) I recently had a bit of drama in my life. I ended up sleeping with a girl that my best friend really liked. I know, not good. But I think it help explains the poem. Any feedback is really appreciated. [173 words] A Midnight Journey (Poetry) I wrote this poem after getting lost in the woods while camping. It ended up kinda as an allusion to death too. By the way, try not to drink and wander. [131 words] [Mind] A Simple Night (Poetry) I wrote this about when you're in a fight or broken up in a relationship and you know it is time to go back. I guess just read. [126 words] [Relationships] By My Soul (Songs) This is a song I wrote about being swept away by the girl of my dreams... only a dream though. I guess it was just a compilation of feelings I get when being with that special person. [155 words] [Romance] I Killed Her (Poetry) A short poem I wrote about screwing up a relationship. [64 words] [Relationships] Love & Hate (Poetry) Well this is about the darkest thing I've ever written. It's about betrayal and hurt. Castles Eric Richards
I dont want to say
What I feel
Its too late tonight
Silence isnt our enemy
Just a place to heal
I can forgive anything
when I look into your eyes
Well, the weight of trust
Its heavy on these lies
Keeps us from falling down
But leaves me empty inside
Im feeling lost in here
Everything just brings me down
Still I feel you standing there
Everytime I turn around
We place these castles on the wall
Never thought theyd crumble
Never thought theyd fall
Nothings ever as it seems
But it was better than nothing at all
I took this all in stride
Just a memory I could forget
Living just enough
To forget how to die
I shouldve yelled
Shouldve screamed aloud
But holding it all in
Couldnt fill me with doubt
Time to take her home
Feel the fear in my eyes
Cold air fills the space
I thought would never die
And all I can think about
As the days go by
You never looked more beautiful
Then the day we said goodbye
We place these castles on the wall
Never thought theyd crumble
Never thought theyd fall
Nothings ever as it seems
But it was better than nothing at all
I know this is my fault
I never thought Id stumble
Never thought Id fall
You were never as you seemed
You were everything after all
