Why women are so vulnerable to love. There are numerous instances where woman always felt weak before the person she loved. Why are women so sensitive when compared to men? It is a known fact that women are more emotional compared to men or maybe to put it in a better way women express their emotions openly whereas men keep it within themselves. Is it because that’s how things function, as it goes by the popular belief that men need to be strong at times of distress, they are used to hide their tears. But this cannot be generalized I think because many might contest that men too are sensitive.

In the recent death of a well-known model one could not miss the fact that the leading factor for her suicide was her obsession to her fiancé. She felt it difficult to accept the fact of being separated from him. She is not the lone example of such cases. Women need attention, intense love, and care. They cannot take ignorance or carelessness from their men. They get very quickly attached to their lover and expect intimate relationship. Even in a marriage one can find the man cool and composed, expecting a space for him whereas woman want constantly to be reassured that she is being loved. Men generally take the lady for granted. As expected most of the time they are preoccupied in their work and find giving thought to emotions like love is trivial. Usually the flame of love burns down very quickly in men whereas women always tend to keep looking for that emotional support from their partners. Remaining detached, reducing the expectation level is slightly tough for the fairer sex. As expressed aptly in some of the articles circulated in the internet women tend to make a mountain out of a molehill when she feels that her partner is not attending to her or is ignoring her whereas men hardly give a passing thought to it and feel that there is no need for them to keep assuring their partners that they care for them.

So the big question is who is on the wrong side. Well maybe a balance is required from both ends. There is nothing wrong in expecting some attention in form of simple gestures like a reassuring smile, small talk, and peck on the cheek or just a loving look from your partner. After all how can a relationship flourish without any ingredient of affection or understanding? At the same time one should not trust ones expectation on the other. One should not get so involved in the relationship that any small misunderstanding cannot be digested and would lead to ugly outcomes. In a relationship there should be enough space for each other to be independent and not pressurized by others expectation.
Of course there are few exception to the above-mentioned discussion. There are some women who are mentally very strong and think practically. Most of them are comfortable being single rather than in a relationship. They feel suffocated being bound by the norms of a relationship. Also there are categories of women who can get in and get out of relationship easily without much regret or concern. They don’t suffer emotionally much over the breakage and easily get over the consequences.

All said and done being in love, being loved and cared for is beautiful. If struck the right chord one can find a friend, guide, lover and all most everything in a partner. Only some amount of patience and understanding is required to cherish and endure a long-lasting bond.
