Twilight Dreams
I see the evening light splitting the mammoth white clouds, lighting up the valley 'tween the mountains, the river below reflecting the zigzags of its motion on the plished hillsides['cos the winds are strong out here, and go heavy against the rocky mountains].The eagle is flying high up, touring the valley in spiral circles once and again. It has tracked its victim in the shallow water body, a carp with a color of light orange that was pecking on the planktons on the river bed.
I see a village by the slope of a faraway mountain, for all the smoke and lights that seem to balloon up into the sky - signs of celebrations - daily, weekly, monthly, yearly .... I do not know when all do those villagers celebrate, and why they do so. Are they really humans out there, I know not. Perhaps it could be aliens that God so cleverly kept far from the eyes of the Human, for he knew that the man would take it for granted. But there are drumbeats, and of some rythm that is very unfamiliar, for all the themes I have heard in my life. I tis tough to comprehend the tune of the beat - So I cannot make out if it is that of gloom or joy. Why do I care in first place? I should not.
Behind me - There is the blue sea - waves lapping the sand out of the beach - presenting the land with shells that possibly were empty coffins - and froth that smelt of nothing. I see no sharks, I see no boats, no lighhouses. All I see is the evening Sun coming down from the clouds - Time has passed so quick. It was planning to sink down into the horizon in a short while. Red and blushin, it wanted to hide away from the evening sky as soon as it can. The sea always seems calm at the horizon - maybe in respect of the sinking sun. ANy sea seems to be deep enough to hide the Sun - I could be gographically wrong here, but I as a matter of fact, I prefer to be wrong here.
As the Sun slips down the slope of the horizon, I see the lights brighter on the other side - the village is now lighted up. I fly over, breezing throug the valley - I see the eagle has already done its task - it was pecking into the gills of the piscean, and looking around for intruders. I see the river is quieter, and the mountains seemed to be dead. It amazes me to see that as the daylight vanishes, the beings around seem so dull. Switching between night and day seem like switching between a color and a B/W television.
I approach the village from the top - I zoom down on the closest coconut tree and observe around. There are no lights .There is no smoke . There are no drumbeats. I open my eyes. I am back at my desk .I see that the code hasn't compiled- and the caffiene cup is empty. Need to get more - Here I go to the cafeteria. Catch ya later
