"Nice paper to stumble upon here at Storymania. I liked your original thinkin, it did not come across as regurgitation of instilled facts. The format was different for a college paper, so it seemed. The only criticism I offer would contend with, what I fell, were assumptions by the author. The shift of balance from equality to men was stated but not explained. We know that today shifts of balance like that do not 'simply' occur. What caused it? What created the sense of superiority? Also with religion, which is a much maligned notion. The corruption in religion which endears it to so many cynics is rooted in politics and the struggle for power - or scarce resources. This dynamic permeates all facets of society and religion certainly was not immune to it. Today a science based culture rules and it too kills and corrupts and demeans the human 'spirit'. In all though I felt your sincerity and enjoyed the read. " -- olef ransom saulles.
