It's Wednesday
Danny I. Spitler

It is evening...Wednesday evening
It has been a busy day....a nice day
I am at home....my home....which I like a lot
I am alone.....which is fine
Sometimes that is what I need....and it feels fine

Still
Glancing around the room....I see you
Your earrings on the coffee table
Your pink slippers lying by the recliner
Your blue sweats draped over the arm of the sofa

Then there is the memory....still so fresh
Last night
I close my eyes....I can see you
I see you kneeling in front of the sofa
Moving your face over my body
Thrilling me with your touch

I see you walking to the fireplace rug
Naked
Enticing
The sensuality of your movements
The firelight flickering off your body
Reclining on the soft rug
Ready to accept my touch
The touch of my hands....my lips....my tongue
Ready to feel the weight of my body
The warm, moist intensity
The electric moment of connection
When we give ourselves up to each other

I am at home....alone
But
You are here
