                            Melody's Journey

As she touched her face, she knew he was coming..
The lord of the unknown, the demon the has been avenged from the other world.
She looked down at her hands, as the blood poured from them to the ground of the world of Azgabath..
She bandaged her wound and got up.
Her hair was so shiny and so angelic.
She looked around as her eyes have transformed into shapes of Pentacles.
She breathed in ones more, and took her journey forward to the castle.

Her men have not come with her, they have stayed behind, it was her journey, her destiny to find the castle and to get the sword that had powers of the whole world set in her hands. She knew she could do it, Her name was Melody the Amazon Princess, and she was the bravest of them all, she left her family at the age of 11 to go and train until the time came for her. But only would she not face the castle, but she would face the demon himself, that haunted her in her dreams at night, that was her fear, that made her abandon her parents to fight the evil powers of the world, and yet again she was alone, alone in the world to fight and to free the dead souls, could she do it? Or could she stand away to watch the world die in her hands.

She walked through the woods, until she tripped over a rotted tree, "Ouch..," she cried in pain, as she had twisted her leg, she ripped a piece of her clothing off and tied it around her leg for support. The world may have suffered if it wasn't for her, she thought, as she got up and walked slowly on one foot.
Her hair was all tangly, because she had not washed herself for days, she had been looking for a waterfall nearby to wash herself, but none have appeared yet, she was in the "Dead Woods".
She sang softly to herself, as she walked down the trail and skipped through rocks and watched out for more trees nearby so she wouldn't have fallen over."Where the hell am I?," she asked herself, feeling confused. The forest was wide and very dark, she had her arrows with so she wasn't frighten to fight whatever had come into her path.

She slept by a lake she had found that night, it was a little lake, she wanted to wash herself really bad, so she had, she got up took off the layers of clothing she had and got into the water, she started to bathe herself until she heard a noise from behind. The sounds of rattling from a bush nearby, "Who is it??!?," She called out, and covered her body, with her arms.
The figure stepped out of the bushes, it was a man, not just a man but a warrior. She went into the lake full body, and dived in.

"Don't be frightened," he replied. She got her head out of the water and asked, "What do you want?," He looked to her and smirked, "I'am traveling to the castle, and wondering if you knew where it was," he asked. She rubbed her body clean into the water and replied, "That is not your destiny, you are not the one to seek for the sword, I'am!" she argued.
The man looked at her strange, "What sword?," he asked, She stood without responce for a moment, and could hear the wind blowing lightly.

Then she lifted her head up and said, "Will you please turn around a moment, I need to put my clothes on." The man nodded and turned. She got out of the water and wiped herself dry with a leave from a tree branch. Then she put back on her materialed clothing, that were amazon style.

"Alright you can look now," she replied. He turned back around and smiled, "Alright, so what was this sword you were talking about," He asked her. She sat on a log, and motioned him to come over next to her. He walked over to her and sat, "So what is this sword?" he asked ones more, "Shh!," she replied, "You will not only spread the gossip but you will awaken the dead in these woods." she replied. He nodded, "Sorry," And she started to tell him.

"When I was a little girl, I had frightfull dreams about the demon, and how he would kill me and my parents, I could feel his presence around, and that is why I abandoned my parents when I was only 11. So that I could train and get better, and to face what is here to kill me.And I still have to go to the castle and to get the sword before its too late, If I get that powerfull sword the powers of the heavens would be set in my hands and I would be able to defeat that demon and everything will be all right," she smiled as she finished her story.
"I' am sorry but I never told anyone this before because I'am very secretive, I keep things all to myself, I don't really tell things," she replied looking at the wet ground as it had rained last night.

"That's all right," said the man. "While I tell you my story," the man added.
She sat and listened.
"I was awakened by a goddess in my dreams, so beautiful, and so powerfull, she told me that I were to meet a amazon to travel with me to the castle, so that we could fight together, because you need someone to protect you..," he replied, "I can protect myself!," she exclaimed, and cried a tear down her face. He looked up at her and brushed her tear off lightly, "I'am sorry, but you would need someone to watch your back at least, and besides, I will be with you no matter what, I will watch over you and be your best friend," he replied.

She smiled, "No one has ever said that to me before..," and confused herself, "Wait, you never told me your name?," she asked. He laughed, "Oh yes,he bowed before her and said,I'am William."
She giggled, "Nice name for a fella like yourself, I am Melody, Amazon Princess," she replied.
"That is why I bowed before you, because you are royalty to all amazons." he said.
"Thank you," she replied.

They took their journey forward that night after sleeping at the lake. Taking four hours and finally they reached out of the forest, until they were in a land full of grass.
They walked through it, and before them they met a monster, so hideous and disgusting you can easily throw up on him, he looked up at them, he had white sharp vampires teeth, he had a pig nose and clothing that only a warrior would wear like William himself."Step back Melody told William when she walked forward to the monster. "This is a pigman, they are quite easy to beat," she replied.
She looked at William, her eyes transformed to lightning bolts in red, he was frightened of her now, she threw her hands into the air and triple flipped until she landed at the height of the pigman's head and flung her leg at him and kicked him until he was knocked over. Then William was going to see if he was dead but Melody had pushed him out of the way until William had flew into a tree and hit it. Melody took out an arrow and shot it at the pig man until it had exploded and disappeared.

"There," she replied. She turned around to see William aching by the tree and rushed over to help him up.
"You know, your quite strong for an amazon girl," he replied. She looked at him her eyes transformed back into clear blue, and smiled. "Thanks, but your weak yourself, I don't know what the goddess has brought me!," she teased, "Maybe someone who would not be strong enough to pull out the sword?," he asked, she looked at him and smiled, "Hey, your right!," and they began their journey forward.

She walked through the woods, until she tripped over a rotted tree, "Ouch..," she cried in pain, as she had twisted her leg, she ripped a piece of her clothing off and tied it around her leg for support. He wanted to ask her a question really bad, until it popped in his head and asked away.
"How did you get your eyes that way?," he asked curiously.
She laughed, "Oh the transforming eyes?," she asked, he nodded.
"I was born with them, I know its wierd," she replied.
"That is not wierd, I'll tell you what's wierd, at least you dont have a mom and a dad with four legs a brother with elf ears and a sister with a mermaid fin that you have to put her body in the lake every ones in a while because she can't breath without water.," he said.
She looked stunned at him, "Wow..cool," she said. "You know, you shouldn't be making fun of your family, I mean thats all you have in your life, you should be happy with what you have, don't judge what they look like, at least they love you, you didn't have to be born with a choice of leaving your parents or they would of suffered upon your choice that you had to leave them..like me, I had to leave my parents and I can't see them till all this is over, I have to fight what I fear for, and you are one of the lucky ones..," she replied.
He understood, "I'am sorry I upset you," he said.
"It's alright, just don't judge upon what you got," she replied.
"You know, there is a lot I can learn about you Melody,I can see that you have a lot to teach other people around you, even though you are quiet and kept to yourself, but you are full of knowledge." he replied. She smiled and they walked.

They came upon another grassland region, they walked forever until they came upon a temple. She examined it, "This is the temple of the gods, I need to go in there and get the crystal and give it to our king at the castle," she replied.
"But only me," she added.
"Since when did you become so selfish?," He asked, she looked at him angerly, "What?!," as if to smack him upside the head. "I was only joking jeez, didn't know you couldn't take jokes," he replied. "Well, I'am not," she replied, "Sorry Miss. Serious," he added. "Since when did you think I was a Miss? When I'am really a Mrs. married with five kids," His eyes popped out, "What?!?," she laughed, "God, it was ONLY a joke!," He stood there mad, "Not only do I get fooled but you are joking?!," he yelled.
"Serves you right for criticizing a princess," she replied.
"And yet you are a clever one," he added.

When they got closer to the temple, it was guarded by seven pigmen, and the enterance was blocked by them. "Shoot, I need to find a way to get in there," she replied. She put her hand in her pocket and pulled out a long rope. She handed it to him, Go over by that tree and tie this rope by the highest and most strongest branch.
Sweat poured down his face, "I cannot..," he replied. She shook her head, "And why is that?, Afraid that you will fall or break your skull?," she asked, "No..I'am afraid of heights," he replied. "Figures, only the bravest could conquer this but you are not yet a protector of me but you are also a wussy, as far as I know," she replied.
He stood there mad, she ran over to the tree, her legs were as fast as a tiger's and she jumped to the highest and yet most strongest branch and tied the rope around it. She motioned him to come over, but he wouldn't.

"Come on please..Just come or you will be caught by the pigmen," she replied.
"No..why should I listen to a stranger I met the other day, that insults my ego and now makes me follow her orders?," he asked. "Because I'am the princess," she replied. "A princess with a heart of stone." he said.
She looked down, "I'am not..," He looked to her, "And yet you are certainly not my princess and I do not have to bow to you, I shall leave your side and take my own way to the castle.," he replied.
She looked at him, and suddenly tears flowed down her cheeks as she said, "A true freind doesn't just leave their friend when they want, a true friend sticks with you no matter what, and is always there no matter what happens, even if the going gets rough, a promise is a promise, never to be broken only by a fool." He stopped in his tracks and said, "I'am sorry..I have failed you, I have failed my whole life as well, I deserve to die, I'am no use to anyone," He replied.

She jumped down as fast as she could and looked over to him, she walked up to him and said,"You are a good use, don't put yourself down. And I'am always here for you if you need to talk through things, Don't be afraid, you can tell me anything, I have no one either, no one in this world except for you, and I..I care about you," She cried and he hugged her, "Thank you...Melody,"

She took his hand and jumped on the rope, they swung across it and jumped on a platform on top of ground level. They looked down the pigmen finally fell asleep. The platform moved slowly into the temple enterance.

Suddenly Melody's head ached, she had flashbacks of fire, and burning houses, she also saw her mother and father being taken away into the dark shadow and being slaughtered by the demon's servants, her head hurt and she sobbed. William looked down at her and rubbed her back, "You okay?" he asked. She couldn't hear him, she kept seeing flashbacks, her head was ready to explode, the tension, hurt so bad.
William pulled off his backpack, and pulled out two tablets and his jar of cold wine, he poured it into a wooden cup and gave her the tablets and the wine. "Drink these," he replied.

She couldn't quite see and took the cup and tablets, she swallowed them and sipped up the wine, letting it flow on her crimson rose lips, as she drank. William stared down at her lips as she drank, in delight watching her drink.
When she was finished she handed over the cup. "Thank you, that was good, what do you call that drink?," she asked.
"Wine..," he said. "Wine?, cool," she said. He was astonished, how an amazon princess would never know what wine actually ment, wondering what they drank in her place, and what they ate, he was curious.
"Well seems like I have a lot to learn from you too," She grinned.
"Seems like it," He said.

The Platform had speeded up slowly, taking them into the Temple. Inside of the temple there was large windows, like the size of a church, with stained glass and pictures of god's all over, there was a big lake at the end, with clear water. Melody's eyes stared at the water hungerly, "I have never had that kind of water before." She thought to herself.
The temple was large in size, firelights flying around, making the place glow warm.

"If this place was safe to go in, then why are those pigmen blocking the enterance?," asked William.
"That is what we have to find out next," replied Melody.
They looked around, while the platform had taken them around, it suddenly landed in the middle of the room.
They got off and looked around, behind them ran one pigmen at them. "Oh no, it woke up!," cried Melody.
"Stay back!," she called at William. Melody ran into the pigmen and knocked it out like she had, took an arrow and shot it, the pig just lay silent. "See told you!," called out Melody as she turned back to look at the lake water, but what she had not expected was that the pig had awoken back up, took out the arrow, and threw it at Melody, it flew at her, William saw it, and caught the arrow before it had hit her. Melody turned around suprised, William dodged the pig and punched it so hard that it exploded.
"Wow..thought only I could do such things as protecting us both," replied Melody suprised.
"Well there are some things you know about me Melody, ones a promise always a promise, I would watch your 'back'." he said.
They laughed.

Melody got on her knees and crawled right next to the clear blue lake water, she gazed into it, and saw a reflection of herself, she giggled, touched her hair, and lips, gazed into her pretty eyes. "I didn't know I looked that pretty..," she replied.
William sat next to her, and looked into the water to gaze at himself, then looked at her reflection, "Yes and certainly a pretty girl you are.," he smiled.
She blushed turning red. "Thats alright, no reason to be embarassed," he said.
Melody took the lake water and poured some in her hands, took a sip like she had with the wine, had the water pour on to her beautifull lips and into her sensual mouth, her lips glittering as they always had, William stared at her, she closed her eyes, she thought happy thoughts and smiled to herself. "What are you thinking?," he asked her.
"Im thinking..I'am thinking of how my parents and I would live happily again, how I would see them again, how the world would be a better place after all this is over," she said.
He stood silent and gazed back into the water, he saw something swim in there.
He pulled Melody and himself away.

She shrieked, "What was that?!," she asked, He put his hands on his lips and whispered "Shhh...," and pointed at the lake water.

Suddenly she could see the lake water moving. Her eyes opened wide, now she was frightened, wondering what it could be. Then all of a suddenly a great goddess had appeared from the water, wearing a silky light green long dress, showing cleavage, her big red lips shining, her emerald eyes shimmering into shapes of diamonds, she had long blue hair, and had the skin of a younge childs.

"Welcome, to the temple of the gods...," she replied in a sweet voice.
William bowed before her, and Melody stood there frozen, staring into the eyes of the goddess.
"Who..are you?," asked Melody.
The goddess laughed, a long laugh, that felt like it went on forever, "Well my child, I am Laura, the goddess of Luck," she replied.
"Oh, pretty.," said Melody.
"And you are Melody, and your name sir is William, I know this because I can see into your soul, I know everything about my newcomers, and I have come to grant you good luck on your journey," replied Laura.

"Well that's very kind of you Laura, I appreciate it but I can do fine on my own," replied Melody.
"Don't bother her, she always thinks she can do things on her own, with that hard head of hers, shes also very brave and not afraid to take risks," said William.
Laura laughed again, flaunted her beautifull arms around and waved them as a crystal appeared in her hand, it was so beautifull, and greenish-blue.
"I'am thinking you want this?," asked Laura.
Melody gazed into the crystal, as she had been possessed by the crystal's power, "Why, yes may I have it?," asked Melody.

"You certainly are good with your manners younge child, and you do seem brave I can see, your friend William is also in good use with you, he watched your back today didn't he, you could of been killed if it wasn't for him, I mean the way those pigmen throw those arrows, they can easily kill you," replied Laura.
"I know, but I don't really have any time to chit-chat with you, I came here to get the crystal and be on my way, I have to go see the king and give him the power so that I can...," she broke off.
"Don't worry," replied Laura, "I know what you want to do with it, and what you have to get, the whole world knows about your destiny, but I will not tell your secret, so here be off and good luck my fair children," she added, as the crystal had floated away from the goddess's hands and into Melody's. Melody packed the crystal safe in with her things.
"By the way, take as much water from my pure lake as you want, I have lots more for the world to offer," Laura smiled and disappeared back into the water.

"Well, she certainly was nice," replied William. "Nice? Ha! Sure..that's what you probably think about all women when you find them attractive," replied Melody, as she poured some more cold water into her hands and drank with thirst.
"No, that's actually not true, I myself don't think that about all woman, and you seem jealous," said William.
"Of what?," asked Melody.
"You like me dont you?," asked William. "Not if you were the last man on this earth!," yelled Melody. William shook his head and poured the water into his hands, and sipped it. "MMm..good," he said.

And they were on their way. They walked back onto the platform and had gotten out of the temple safley. They took the rope and glided across it and jumped to the ground, William actually managaed to swing across it while getting height-sick. But he was actually getting pretty used to it. They walked for hours and suddenly it had turned night. They found a village down the rocky roads after passing away from the grasslands.

~*~*~**~***~*~**~**~*~*~*~*~**~**~*~*******~*********************************************************************************

"Whoopie!," yelled Melody, "A village finally, I was waiting for this, god Am I tired!," she replied with exhaustion.
"Yes, long walk, with one day of sleep im tired too.," he said.

They walked closer to the village, it was quite small in size, Melody looked at the sign at the top, it said "Elf Wood"
and it had a bunch of torches with fire on the sides, they entered in, and saw a bunch of people with elf ears some were small in size others were normal but with elf ears. They looked at the travelers strange.

The owner of the village entered, and looked upon Melody and William. He smiled. He was a little man, with a wizard hat and a wand, he wore a dark blue cloak and had a long gray beard and elf ears.
"Welcome, you are the destiny's hero, aren't you?," he said.
Melody nodded. "I see, welcome to our village, we have food serving tonight as much as you like, and we have fine beds of hay to rest upon, for your tired bones," he added.

William bowed like he always had, and Melody said her gracefull 'thank you' like she had. "What is your name?," asked Melody, "Oh, sorry about the rudeness, I am Morden, the elf of the village, the ruler of my people, the owner of the place," he added.
"Ah, it must be fine to own your own place," replied Melody, "Yes, it is," he said. "And I'am just an amazon, I'am the princess, I'am royalty to my forest where I come from," replied Melody.
"That must be grand," replied Morden smiling. "What forest are you from?," asked Morden. "My forest is on the other region, its called, "Tip-Toe Springs" and it is far and a beautifull place, with waterfalls, and lakes, and gardens for you to plant flowers, it has a village of amazons, and sometimes we climbs trees and swing on them upside down, practice our flips and train for battle," replied Melody happily.
"That must be fun, well, I'll show you to your rooms and I'll show you the dining area when dinner is served," replied Morden.

He showed them the way to their rooms, unfortunatly Melody got a pink room for females, "Augh," she replied to herself, she didn't like pink rooms, she thought they were too girlish, the colors she adored were dark colors, like blacks, dark blues, browns, grays. Reds were just too..ugly.
William got a dark blue room, he liked it. He put his stuff there, and lay down on the hay, looking up at the cieling.
Melody was tired and lay in hers, but somewhat now she felt lonely, she got up and walked into William's room, next door.
