Cornileus Capers:A World Of Darkness-Episode 1...The Light In The Dark,The Beginning The change in the world has been made for awhile now,It's now,sad to say,a way of living.It all started with a ground-shaking earthquake that stuck a little town,harrisville,PA.The townspeople never thought a couple minutes of viberations would cause an aftermath of Darkness. In the middle of town a crowd gathered,and what caught their eyes was a seeping hole,left by the earthquake,at first it was amazement,never thought it would turn into fear.The crowd looked into the endless hole,mouths were dropped and eyes popped wide open,as they looked into this hole.Soon the whole town surrounded this pith-black hole,people were throwing things into the hole to try and hear them land but no landing sound was ever heard,cops were throwing flares,yet their lights disappeared after a couple yards into the hole.The amazement of the hole passed after about two months,soon it was just a landmark,known as Everlasting Falls, that was the last of the amazement. Soon,the Harrisville police department find themselves busy working missing person/murder cases,cases that had the police force at an hault. Dispatchers were getting suddenly vanished calls, never came home calls,and even kidnapped calls. Bodies were being found bloodless,bitten,clawed, even half eaten.Suspicion grew through the town and fear grew through it's homes,townsfolk feared to exit their homes,families held each other tight and spend as much time with each other as they could as they thought the worst,and of the last. That was than and now,we know who the bodies belong to,we know what has brought fear and death to our town,we know about the darkness of Everlasting Falls,and what came out of it.First there was the king of the darkness,the Shadow Lord,a power hungry werewolf,ruler of the new world. The monster stood eight feet tall,pitch-black eyes that seen the fear in others,razor sharp claws that slashed his enemies leaving them in their own blood puddle,and even sharper teeth that he used to maul human flesh and did he love human flesh, just about everyone fear him,he ran the vampires, yes theirs vampires. When the Shadow Lord came from beneathe the earth and out that hole the rest of the darkness followed.After they took over this town,they moved on to the rest of the world,kill and control were their way of living,the only human alive were ether,the ones they kept for slaves,and the ones they didn't catch yet. They all thought he was crazy that night he told them what he seen come out that hole of hell.It was about two,no,three month after the hole was erupted into the middle of town,he was out late smoking a cigar,he usually did before he laid it down to sleep.he was high after about five minutes, he found himself zoned-out on this hole that just popped up from no where and stayed there.His eyes placed on this hole with so many thought but that's all just thoughts,with this hole his mind was never made up.He took another puff of his cigar and let it's smoke fill his lungs,and as his eyes caught sight he coughed the smoke out. He looked back up to see if what he thought he saw was what he was seeing.His eyes rose wider than they were,after three months of this hole being here and doing nothing he was seeing dark black smoke come out of it,spreading like it was alive,as he took steps back he continued to watch.After the black smoke covered enough ground to be called a floor it stopped.When it stopped so did he and he watched as the smoke floated steady,everything seem to be at a pause,seemed like the world had stopped for a moment and than someone or something pressed the play button.Smoke blew away from the hole as a pair of hand reached the surface,and the pair of hands pulled up a man,he was big,black,and bald,being as though he was a small distance there was two things he notice. First there was his eyes,they were just as black as the smoke,dark as the night.Than there was his fingernails just as dark as his eyes.The boy watching begun to turn the other way and get the hell out of there,but just than something else happen. The man turned,turned from man to beast right infront of the boy's eyes.From being bald the boy saw him covered in fur,from a set of teeth to a mouth full of vicious fangs,a normal pair of hands grow into life threating claws,and from a body form of a above average human change into a massive-size, eight-foot creature.The boy turned and ran. "It was,I can't believe i'm saying this but it was a werewolf"that was the boy's answer after my parents asked him what did he see,his mom looked at him, "Cornileus Capers i insist that you stop lying this instinct,and tell me what your so spooked about".Cornileus' mom used his full name when she was mad,he was about to speak but than he caught his dad burning a hole in him with his eyes,"if you don't wanna tell us what wrong with you than don't but don't stand right infront of our faces and lie, than you wanna lie with something as stupid as that".Before he said anything,he thought maybe i could wake up and this was a dream,but he thought to himself "I ain't that lucky"."I know what i saw and it's not a lie,i have no reason to lie anyway". After Cornileus' mother and father sent him to his room he had alot of time to think maybe even to much time.Cornileus thought to himself over and over,he knew what he saw and what he saw was real,but he knew no one would believe him cause he still didn't believe himself.Thoughts and thoughts came to Cornileus, some clear some not,yet he was still confused. One thing he realize after awhile,he seen what he seen and he knows what he saw,and from now on nobody's gonna tell him different.In his room that night,is where a new life of living begun,new deaths,new speices,and yet he was the only one that knew. Cornileus was up all night,thoughts bouncing all around his head,like a game of ping pong.Why is this happening,is it possible,was i dreaming,and if not why the fuck a town like this??How do you tell people stuff that's not true in their minds, Cornileus questioned himself knowing he didn't know the answer. When he had woken up fully,he just wanted to stay cocooned in his bed,but he thought to himself what would that accomplish.When he stood to his feet the light came through the window and hit his eyes like an ocean wave against the coast,he squinted my as the light had made his vision darken.After a few seconds his eyes cleared,and he found myself in my room after shortly forgetting."Oh yeah",Cornileus thought to myself after remembering what he had saw the night before."who could i tell","who would listen",he asked and answered his own question in thought.After dressing myself,i thought about how he would start off his day.Cornileus did everything he needed to do,and headed down stair. At the bottom of the stairs there was a straight view of the dining room where he stopped in his tracks.Cornileus' dad was sitting sipping from his coffee cup with the Newspaper in hand,taking his eyes off the paper he looked at Cornileus. Cornileus' mother was doing the dishes and her hands stopped in movement,with her hands in a sink full of water,her eyes focused on her son.A smooth silence filled the kitchen,and was broken as Cornileus' father asked him to have a seat. Cornileus looked at his father,curly caramel brown hair about shoulder's length,bushy eye-brows along with a full-faced beard,just as caramel as his hair.He sat,yet his beer belly was visible,he spoke,"since you've had a good night's sleep,do you wanna talk about last night again",he sipped some coffee as Cornileus took a seat. Cornileus had alot to think about already, his head filled to the limit,he didn't feel like arguing with his parents,and didn't feel like gettinng sent to his room."Sorry mom and dad,I must have fell asleep outside last night,and believe that i was dreaming yet it seemed so real" ,Cornileus lied,he knew whats was real,and he couldn't afford any more confusion at the moment. Cornileus' mother ran to him,black back-length hair,beautiful blue eyes,soft skin,along with the figure of a coke bottle,she hugged him."Thank god Cornileus.you spooked hte hell out me and your father".His father folded the newspaper and placed it on the table,and looked at Cornileus square in the eyes."Son next time,please think before you begin to speak and think how it will effect the ears that are listening",he placed his hand on Cornileus' shoulder,gripped and released. When Cornileus openned the door to leave,the sun light was bright and nearly blinded him,as he turned his head.As his eyes got used to the light Cornileus could look straight without squinting.He really didn't have any plans to go anywhere so he found himself just walking and thinking.Thoughts raced through his head like relay,First he thought to himself,"if I was attacked how would I survive, yet how would I even fight back".What cornlieus had saw that night,in the myths of life,they are very powerful and difficult to fight,no one has ever fought one.Then something popped up in his head like a blood-rush,he needed a weapon of defense and attack or maybe two.Cornileus was about six-foot,maybe two hundred pounds,yet a very fit body figure.Cornileus only seventeen at the time,had shoulder length curly hair,and very bright green eyes.Usually he work down at the diner as a cook but it was wednesday,his day off. It was hot out today,nice little crowd,Cornileus walked through it just steady thinking."Even though i don't like guns i'm gonna have to get my hands on one"Cornileus thought hard about the matter in his mind,Suddenly he stopped as something caught out the corner of his eye. Master Marshall's self-defense/pressure points, Cornileus thought that maybe this would be good for him,so he walked in. As he walked in,he saw a man at the other end of the room,sitting indian style.Before Cornileus could say anything the man broke the silence,"May i help you young man"."Yes sir,I would like to learn self-defense and pressure points"Cornileus answered in a well mannered form.The man stood,yet still with his back turned he spoke again,"May i ask why you wish to learn these things,and second not only is there alot to be learned,but it takes alot to learn it".Before Cornileus responded,he waited to see if the voice without a face would be saw,then answered when he didn't."Sir i believe that in due time,things are gonna get bad,and i don't think i'm ready for it with what i know alone.And sir,with the time that's here and now, I'd like to learn everything i possibly can,and sir i am not here to waste your time". As Cornileus finished,a silence entered the room and it stayed there for a moment.The man took his time with his response,yet he turned around.
