I Have A Dream Gary McDonald
I have a dream
Of anger, fear and deceit.
I dream of fire and war,
Hatred and murder.
I dream I am a killer,
I dream I am dying.
Of being torn limb
From limb and of
Losing my loved ones.
I have a dream
Of flowers, friendship and love.
I dream of meadows, childhood
A trouble free life,
Oh how nice that seems
To be as free as a bird
Just soaring through the air
Without a care at all
Why oh why is my life not like this?
People tell me I am disturbed
Many agree; it's their choice.
I have no cares for people like those
I wouldn't wish them horror
I just wish they could see my grief!
I don't want to sleep at night,
I am in fear of what will happen next.
Am I mad for dreaming?
I make too many wishes,
And then I'm disappointed
Can people not understand?
I am not mad!
I am just human!
We all dream -
It's what you make of them that counts.
I wish more people would just say,
"I have a dream."
