The Life In You
Branson Storm

Theyre all around me.
Im surrounded, dying in people,
thinking only of why Im here.

Words and words, but I hear thoughts
firing like stars
and they always fade
always.

Beyond it all is a sky of you
spun in your thread, catching my everything,
making me stay.
And my anger is just enough to question myself.

Im not going. I cant.

Why wont you release me?
Youre too big for me and
I dont like who your silence has become.

And your humanity,
its no good.
Its still and dry
days from death.

Dont kill it.
Give it to me.
Let me be
the life in you again.
