TITLE (EDIT) The Green Shoot : A Legend Of The Boros
DESCRIPTION
The unexpected death of a beloved one is really painful. Yet the memory of his love and good works for his friends, family and the society at large gives hope that buds in spring and leaves of green will flourish. The imagery is taken from a tea leaf- the green shoot. [249 words]

The Green Shoot : A Legend Of The Boros Dr Surya Kumar Daimari
(An eulogy to our beloved Pronoy Basumotary)
He was like a young green shoot,
Poking and sprouting from a stem
That was deep skipped.
But I was so sad when I saw him fall,
Plucked out so early with no mercy and foul.
May be cause its winter,
And its so cold.
It was autumn when I saw leaves falling down
Yellow, red, gold and brown.
When the wind sweeps and comes whistling by
Theyre strewn far and wide.
But Ive neer seen a green leaf falling so young.
The trees are now naked and dry.
But after autumn always comes spring,
Buds in spring and leaves of green.
But Ive seen green tender leaves plucked out
Mercilessly, bruising, whirling and twirling.
Yet the another day, I was blessed
To see a thousand host of green buds
Sprouting and dancing with the wind.
+ + + +
He was like a young green shoot,
A legend of the Boros.
Though he lived short and brief
He wasnt a man drifted like a livid leaf.
Thousands and millions will be sprouting
From his stem in the season of spring.
He was a man with spirit de corps,
A man with integrity and hopes,
Bold and strong,
Visions unfulfilled, yet giving visions to millions.
The grinding tea brews from a tea cup
Will sooth the hearts of billions.
Honesty is the best policy−
Was his philosophy,
Dignity of labor −
Was his motto,
A motto which is best for all,
A motto par excellence for young and old,
A motto thatll make our Land change altogether,
Make our Land better than ever and ever.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Psalm 116:15
