Phase To Phase
August Nyghts

Phase to Phase
Pushing on with a gray glazed Eye
Existing to see
All future potentials
Appointed by pasts credentials
          while
Observing harsh realities
                into
instilling defined qualities
Walk the walk; talk the talk
then give and take
Solidified with a firm handshake
And smile
All the while
concurring
Lifes betrayals of love and hope
Dreams of the happy ending
failing to shine for now
Thats what there is
Tomorrows-maybe
But today-is certainty
Give glory to the light
that shows us without price
The heaven that rests on individually rolled dice
Protest to me not of the despairs life has brought
Rather look out your window & describe in detail
your freedom of thought.
I see
The brick and basil with my hazel
The dirt and love in my garden glove
The time it took and millipede bug
Within that hole I dug
The pink passion find
Hawk eye fashions
That tease the mind
The sky lined with tree green
What makes people so mean?
Release a tear
Celebrate with beer
Ahhh another New Year
I will not fear
The day
That rests ahead
I will not say
My hearts love is dead
