My Prince
August Nyghts
Your love remains after all we put each other through
my words,i know -you know are true
eleven years later
we have something sorta new
with a twist of old views
I believe we have paid our dues
so now what my friend
my friend until the very end?
now how will our lives transcend?
together again
our hearts had to mend
our love has changed over the years
so many shed tears
now replaced by fears
of relationships that come and go
like a silly game show
yet we continue to grow
and grow and grow
sometimes I wish you were still my beau
where would we be though
god only knows
but here we are
wishing on the same stars
in different skies
through older eyes
that have known countless other goodbyes.
