My Mysterious Dad
Green Emerald

Dad even though we hardly speak
I know you do care down deep
In your mind I'd like to take a peak
So calmly you cruise in your blue jeep

You have such a calm persona
How do you get to be so quiet
You have such a peaceful aura
You never cause a riot

You help everyone, in their time of need
Never have you shown any greed
Never will you rush around in high speed
Never will you do a single bad deed

You never could be my mate
But I know it's never too late
To tell you how much I love you dearly
I hope to be just like you, well...nearly

With 5 kids you never did hesitate
Gave us everything on a silver plate
Even though mum tried to stop you
But you carried on playing the fool

All we had to do was ask
And you would fulfil your task
Of being a devoted Dad
Never did you fail or do bad

Thank you for everything you have given
Your love is never hidden
I can see it in your eyes
How you hate to say goodbyes

I will be here when your days turn grey
I will make you look forward to a beautiful day
Where we can all go out and play
And forever with you I will stay

You have a heart of Gold
To take care of you when your old
Is a promise I have given
I hope one day I will be forgiven
