Meaningless Drivel For The Masses
D A Ash

somewhere along the abondoned rail line
my heart broke into a million pieces
and i stood for along time thinking that
there was no relief, until you walked up.

just where the old tracks turned and the
water was at its best, and the lighthouse;
i would almost say it was an inaugural moment,
but no it was only time passing us by.

then, as gentle as the breeze, we parted.
never to speak again, never to see each other.
these are things that happen when you live life
and as just as Shakespeare and Petrachean wrote

the reality of love lost and loved gained
flows like the blood in every mammal everywhere.
