Love Anew
Annacat

The deepest darkness yields to dawn
Harshest words that can be spoken
Relentless caress and they are gone
And a soul can see again

Staring blind into the dark
Purest form of remember
Seeing those things so stark
Like the last burning ember

What will you do with things so fine?
What will you say that stands the test of time?
Can you stand in sand so soft
Against your feet that you could fall over
You see all you need to see
        Eyes closed next to me

When you look into the mirror
You see every disregard
Those things that no else sees
Are your calling card

When you hold a hand that needs holding
I hope you hear a poet sing
The finest words ever written
All he really ever had to bring

What will you do with things so fine?
What will you say that stands the test of time?
Can you stand in sand so soft
Against your feet that you could fall over
You see all you need to see
        Eyes closed next to me

One day in every life
Held so close that to surrender
It
Just think of it
Remember
The hand that was held
The breath that was shared
Under sheets as soft as air
Wonder the chance of being there
