I Know Him
Amanda Rae Mealer

I dont have a sunbeam smile
One that lights a room
And Im not all that pretty
Like a flower that wont bloom
I got hair thats messy
as a wild horses main
But I know One who loves me
all the same
Yeah he takes my heart
and looks on the inside
He always finds the things
Ive tried so hard to hide
He holds me up when
everyone else runs away
and He carries me home
when I begin to stray

I dont do whats right,
Sometimes do whats wrong
In this world of misleading paths
Its hard to find where I belong
I get lost sometimes while
trying to make a name
But I know One who loves me
all the same
Yeah he takes my hand
and tells me everything will be alright
He forgives my every falter
And makes my smile sunbeam bright
Through Him I am better
Though Him I can love
Through Him I will live
Who lives with the Father above.

I now know the One who loves me
all the same.

"Amanda, I'm not really into poetry but I enjoyed this one. I really understood what you were saying about how much God loves you. Even when others reject you for who you're not, God accepts you for who you are. I like that. " -- Alberta , Atlanta .
