I AM HAPPY THAT GARMADON IS FREE OF THE OVERLORD's EVIL AMBITIONS, BUT CAN HE STAY PEACEFUL IN THE FACE OF THE NEW THREAT HANGING OVER NINJAGO? THE OVERLORD IS NOW THE DIGITAL OVERLORD, MEANING HE NOW EXISTS WITHIN TECHNOLOGY. WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY TO EXPERIENCE THIS MOMENT. OUR EMOTIONS ARE ALL TANGLED. MOST OF THESE INCLUDE NYA TAKING A NEW LIKING TO COLE, JAY DISCOVERING THAT NYA NO LONGER LIKED HIM, GARMADON AND LLOYD FINDING IT HARD TO BECOME FATHER AND SON AGAIN (AFTER ALL, AS THE GOLDEN NINJA, YOU CAN'T JUST GO AND PLAY TAG WITH DAD ANYMORE. YOU END UP SPRINTING ACROSS THE WORLD A FEW HUNDRED TIMES.), LLOYD MISSING BEING JUST A NORMAL BOY, AND ZANE UPSET THAT HIS OWN ROBOT BLUEPRINTS WERE USED TO CREATE THE NINDROID ARMY. I FEAR THAT WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SAVE NINJAGO DURING THE BATTLE WITH THE DIGITAL OVERLORD. NINJAGO AND ITS INHABITANTS CAN ONLY LOOK FORWARD TO FACE THEIR DESTINY, HOWEVER DARK IT MAY BE.
The Overborg
Zane, Cole, Kai, and Jay, the ninja that saved Ninjago over and over again, were dangling over a massive pitch black vortex, imprisoned in chains. Lloyd had disappeared down a gigantic chasm along with Nya. Sensei Garmadon, Sensei Wu, and Misako were caged, so grief-stricken that they were silent because they were all relatives of Lloyd. The Digital Overlord gave a sneer, grabbed a remote, and viciously tugged on the lever. The four ninjas were lowered surprisingly slowly into the portal. "Guys, I want you to know. Whatever happens after this, we're in it together," Cole whispered.
"I hope we'll all-- AHHH!" Jay screamed at the top of his lungs. Now the lowering was processing faster than the speed of light, most likely because there were only a few kilometers of distance left. They were nearing the swirling whirlpool of darkness.
Suddenly, Nya's samurai mech scooped up the four ninja and broke the chains! "Lloyd, Nya! You're alright?" Kai asked in disbelief.
"Since the gorge was really deep, Nya had enough time to fix the mech. We even had some sandwiches on the fall!" Lloyd explained.
Lloyd and the four ninjas got onto the mech and they shot off, towards the Digital Overlord. But just then, the Nindroid army, using their hang gliders, flew hastily towards them and attacked! General Cryptor landed on the mech and began to wrestle with Lloyd. Zane and P.I.X.A.L. fought back to back, creating their double Spinjitzu. Cole and Kai fended off Nindroid drones and Nindroids while Jay dealt with the Min-Droids, all using the TechnoBlades. Who would win the treacherous battle?
The mech continued to roar off in the direction of the Digital Overlord, though progressing much slower due to the launching attacks. When they finally made it to the cliffside, there was a deafening snarl as the Digital Overlord transformed into a frightening creature. The creature was covered in coarse, black scales and had intimidating purple eyes. The Overlord had become the dark dragon.
The gaze of the Overlord sliced through Lloyd as he leapt off the mech and became the golden ninja. Lloyd met the evil being's stare unflinching as the Overlord smiled and laughed. It was a foul, nasty sound. "You can't defeat me, the Overlord!" Then the monstrosity repeated the most menacing words he had growled in their previous clash. "You can't defeat me! Where there is light, there will always be shadow!" Lloyd let his determination harden his gaze, then he repeated his own reply that he declared boldly the last time the menace had asked him this. "Unless my light is bright enough!"
As Lloyd and the Overborg fought, while the four ninja held back the Nindroid army. P.I.X.A.L. snuck up on General Cryptor and they began to battle. Nya jetted back with her mech to free Sensei Wu, Sensei Garmadon, and Misako. Upon returning, Nya and Misako assisted the ninja while Sensei Wu and Sensei Garmadon assisted Lloyd. The Overborg laughed viciously as General Cryptor defeated P.I.X.E.L. and the four ninja were now under Nindroid feet. He growled as when General Cryptor crashed into the thick of the final battle, Sensei Wu took him on. The true final battle was at it's maximum heat!
The Overborg gave a massive roar and Sensei Wu and Sensei Garmadon were blown back. They faced the Nindroid army, giving the ninja enough time to super charge Lloyd and they began to battle again. It was chaos as Lloyd lit up the dark cavern and the Overborg began to emit dark matter. The light and dark combined and out came the Overborg. Barrelling into Lloyd's Golden Dragon, he consumed Lloyd. When they had clashed before, Lloyd's Golden Dragon flew out, but not this time. The Nindroid army was beaten, and the ninja knew what to do.
The tornado of creation! "Fire!" called Kai, spinning into a Spinjitzu whirlwind.
"Ice!" screamed Zane, creating his frozen tornado.
"Earth!" yelled Cole, building up his dusty sandstorm.
"Lightning!" shouted Jay, a thundering electric cyclone where he used to be.
"Ninjago!" everyone yowled. The tornado of creation materialized before the Overborg, and they created a electric field using the Nindroid army, including General Cryptor. The light caused a glare to form inside of the Overborg, and then Lloyd appeared! Using his newly gained energy, light shot out of his chest! The beam hit the Overborg directly, and with a infuriated roar, the Overborg vanished, leaving nothing behind. Everyone noticed that light had won, like it did before. They stood together in silence, then the words echoed in the cavern...
"NINJAGO!!"
