My Message Of Caress Jacqueline Anel Sheppard
My life was granted a few words of fealty to love. I was born to care about everyone; I was born to love them more than myself, and I did. I remember hugging anyone I wanted for contentments sake. The world was always so gloomy, so desperate for nurture and warmth, so I smiled as often as I could, and to anyone. Love knew no face or appearance, it knew no name or heritage. Yet character and self dignity brought upon me a new image in which I respected. Now it is this very image I despise more than life. Life proved to be unyielding, unforgiving, and faintly relentless. Sad to say, I was so full of this. Now my cries to the sky are what give me the strength to continue through this vast emptiness. I hate everyone, and love everyone. I curse everything created and then thank the Lord for them.
I mainly spoil myself of words spoken to my conscience and sometimes I chose to speak them aloud. I create my own nightmares that can easily be overthrown. Of all causes, I am complicating, puzzling, I feel and desire, nonetheless I am human. My mind craves for tranquillity and peace, a new found land of mercy for quietness. For this, I laugh aloud. Sound is louder when its silent. I can only engulf the solitude of time. Where I am alone with the world, where I am pleased that my journeying partner is the reflection I would find in a river. How can I hate life? There is only a slight period of depression, exhaustion and insanity, this all will fade away. I too will fade away, eventually. Yet I will bequeath a scar of this sentiment upon everyone I meet before I leave, and until I leave. Time will cease my chance, it has never failed me yet.
Now, I stare at the only reason my heart continues to tick. I gaze at my mother, my creator, my friend. She has given and been there for every possible necessity a child could want. I grew up not knowing what a true family was. I doubted there was a true family. Yet, she proved to my sisters, brother and I, that we were the pure hope of happiness. We gave her life. She is grateful for us, for our entire existence. Although we did not grow up with extravagances like the other children we knew. Our mother pleased every need, every dream and every bruise. So there was my fealty of love, it was to my mother. My only hope now is not to plunder through nothingness and degrade, but to be like her, a Message of Caress.
