Divided We Fall
Coreyr Strahan

An explosion of hatred is here and prejudice calls.
Does a majority really hope that someone else falls?

Exterminating life is being taught to carry reward.
While embracing each other cannot be endured..

Local views of God and the color of their skin.
Seem to be what a man thinks is needed to win.

Destruction to others can no longer be chosen
The environment us and our children will grow in.

A revolution in respect, is it time to begin one?
Are the differences between us more than just an opinion?

Can the extremists be turned? Can we all reunite?
Obtaining fellowship together while forgetting the fight?

We are creators of medicine, music and charity
And comparable to beasts our actions still can be.

Given the title of dominant within our vast land,
and the superior tools in the palm of our hand.

Yet trusting only what we know unwilling to learn more
can not be what we were given this intellect for.

Refusing to risk that another idea may hold light,
yet willing to die in another show of their might.

Does the winner of war gain the absolute chore,
of choosing who can and cannot be heard any more?

History has shown that sole leader's ideals and self pride,
matter not in time and with them have soon died.

Only the conspiring masses will last long and stand proud
And victory will only be claimed by a large diverse crowd.
