Sweat glistens
and quickly shoves its way down
He cuts
He saws
He grinds
but he does not love
His muscles shine
with glory
in the western sun
but glory is inevitable
A carpenter he is
he was, and will be
for long years to come
He pieces together wood
with beautiful ease
but could he do the same for a soul?
With what he knows, he knows-
but he cannot know all
He works long-forever it seems
But eternal is something he knows nothing about
